Today, the journey of my life has brought me here, in the starlight of a long experience rich in transcendent thresholds, I feel grateful to have been a translator and scholar of Samuel Beckett's work. Nothing would have enriched me anymore, nothing would have helped me claim these transcendent thresholds, beds of light and darkness I fought to reach their sources, to be able to verify my own existence in a world where the incomprehensible and the unexplained dominate. The irrational and the unstated. Only the one who has benefited can truly appreciate a project. The one who went through this work vulnerable and bloody to gain knowledge and reach his own truth.
Looking today, after thirty-four years, my book on Samuel Beckett, I feel grateful that I was able to write it. I walked on the towering curve of the abyss that charts his great work, and I was able to find the sources and the deep existential veins of his agony. I didn't want to change anything. The texts that are written while mourning the existence, seeking a small sign from the other truth that leads you to a transcendent redemption, hold within them and beyond words the hidden sanctuary. I 've only added a few, written in later years. He was a genius that shone supernaturally in the cosmic landscape, carving an indelible path, like a falling star. And no one knows what time will reveal. There is already a psychoanalytic approach to his work, in a parallel perspective with that of Freud.
