I just finished translating Happy Days by Samuel Beckett. What a dive it was! The word "dive in". Winnie says: "This image rises from the abyss". It's like I had risen from the abyss myself.

June 1969

On April 1980 Alexis Minotis staged the play based on M.L.P.'s translation in the National Theatre. He directed it and the cast was Vaso Manolidou and Minas Hatzisavvas. The set design was by the famous painter Yiannis Tsarouchis. (Link to the archives of N.T.)

The first 2 photos are from the play's program. The third is Tsarouchis' sketch for the play's stage design dedicated to M.L.P.
