On June 27, 1966, at a special gathering at the home of Helen Urani, in Othonos st, the "Group of twelve" literary prizes were awarded. The awards ceremony which was established as a literary institution had its 16 year anniversary that night and among the crowd of 400 people, representatives of the local intellectual life as well as people of theater, fine arts, and politics attended. Renowned critic Andreas Karantonis announced the proceedings of the awards ceremony, citing the decision of the Group, which had been issued two months earlier. The winners were Antonis Samarakis, Takis Papatsonis, Theodoros Xydis, and Maria Lampadaridou.
M.L.P. was granted the "Fexis" award for her literary course and as a young promising new writer.
