The light of your face

I wrote, when the poetry published

"Trace the light of your face on Emmanuel's face!" Said the psalm and I liked it. "The light of your face" is my purest poetry, the most essential. It was written on napkins or small random papers in the eight months I was confined to bed waiting for my child to be born. Nothing has been more magical than this eight months where I had been talking to him and expecting him to come so we can "evangelize the world" together.

I was looking for you in the garden of fountains
I was drawing your breath from the rose petals
Your fingers
From the beams of light over the water
I was looking for you
Inside the silent buds
Pollen from the hands of god
And i was picking up the spaces
Skies converging inside me.

***

Where are you coming from
I didn't ask
Your memory sleeps in its infancy
But I know you bring centuries with you
Of Enlightment
That your hands touched
The annunciation of the world
And the knowledge written on your small existence
Visions and quintessence.
